Dr. James Chen is proud to have taken over the dental practice of Dr. Leo Wong in the Chinook Centre Professional Building as of September 2016.
He happily looks forward to serving all existing and new patients as well as their families!
Dr. James Chen is a native Calgarian, and he has been practicing dentistry in our great city for over 15 years. Dr. Chen completed his undergraduate studies at the Universities of Calgary and Saskatchewan in zoology and physiology. He then received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Saskatchewan in 2003.
With his keen devotion to continuing education, Dr. Chen continues to advance his knowledge in all areas of general dentistry including dental implants, Invisalign Orthodontics, oral surgery, and root canal treatment. Dr. Chen enjoys working with patients of all ages on improving their oral health. He is committed to comprehensive treatment plans and discussing all options with every patient. Patients appreciate how much time he spends with them and how he listens to them about their specific concerns.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Chen enjoys dragonboat racing, hiking, skiing, softball, and traveling. He is an avid fan of the Calgary Flames and the Saskatchewan Roughriders. Dr. Chen continues to volunteer his time with CUPS, Samaritan’s Purse, and Kindness in Action, providing free dental services to the underprivileged in Calgary and around the world.
